Another car update

Okay, so we found another option. This car, however, is in San Diego. Seth talked about it on his blog, so I will let you all (Sam, hehe) read it there.

In other news, not much has been happening. I'm still trying to decide whether I should teach a high school English class or not. It would be for the homeschoolers in the area. There's quite a few, so I could have a good size class. (Maybe 10-15) It would take a lot of time and I don't want to be super busy. That seems to be one of the major epidemics in America. Busy-ness. One blessing about going to other countries is that you can see how good America is in some regards and how messed up America is in other regards. It's definitely a distraction, being busy all the time. How I do not want to fall into that trap!

But, when I was younger, I always wanted to be a teacher. Never a nurse or pilot, but a teacher. I would line up my stuffed animals and sometimes my unwilling brother (only after promises to play G.I Joes later) and would teach them math and reading and science. My favorite possessions were a blackboard and a science book that had the student as well as the teacher edition. Do you remember those? The extra long teacher editions? I loved it. So, I'm not sure. I know God will lead and show me what to do. One thing I've learned over the years is that inaction can be in the will of God. For example, maybe I forgot to call someone and invite them over for dinner only to find out that they needed a night of rest, etc....

I TOTALLY think you should do it!!
here are the reasons i think you do it!(i like lists)
1.I think you would be GREAT at it.
2. I think it would be good experience for when you have your own children.
3. I don't think it would make you as busy as having a full time job, maybe a part time one but you were looking for one anyways.
4. I think it might be good to learn how to balance a busier schedule and still maintain your wifely duties:)(uh but seriously, kids are going to throw a whole new kink into it so why not start practicing now! i had my taste this weekend dog sitting. i'm considering nixing the kids idea for myself)
5. I think you would be a huge blessing to those kids, not only academically but spiritually and emotionally.
6. I dont know if it's paid or not but if it is, sweet.
7. You only live once!
8. You are only without kids once..err kind of anyways.
9. You would have a supportive husband.
10. You would be doing what you love, living out a dream.
ok those are my thoughts.: good job on the blogging!! keep it up!

I know. And these are all really good reasons why I should. I will be busy with kids, so if I have time now to do things to prepare (I'm thinking in more ways spiritually) for that, maybe I should. Just thinking out loud here. I'm actually leaning towards teaching the class. I would still be doing the SP job at KCOM and I think that between those two things as well as keeping up the house, etc... I would be really busy. Would make me definitely be more strict with my use of time :) Still thinking about it...

yeah i didnt know you were still planning on doing the kcom thing. But at least that is volunteer so if you have had a busy week and feel the need for downtime, you can choose not to take it!
plus, when you have kids you will still have to find time to "bulk up" spiritually. good practice, good practice. Or you could just nix the kid idea beacuse they are freaking nuts! Seriously, two dogs...i wanted to jump off a bridge. If i wasn't yelling at one, i was trying to praise the other so they wouldn't think i was yelling at them!!haha it was great. . .
hey you think we'll have deep water tonight?
