Lofts
Here's another post. I guess I am having a hard time writing because I don't know who I am writing to. Should this blog be for family and friends to keep up with us? Or should it be for my writing? Or for my deep thoughts? I see this as more for my family and friends to keep up with us. So, here's an update. We are looking for a loft in downtown KC. The pros would be that Seth can walk to work, we would live near my brother, we would be close to lots of cool things in KC and it would be a neat experience. It would also be cheaper than where we live now. The cons are that we would be living in the city, so you have more crime.
Living in KC has been a good experience for me. In some ways, it's been very hard and I still struggle with fear. But I've been trying to not fear. It's interesting that God gives us commands yet He is the one who gives us the ability to obey and he gives the fruit or reward of that obedience. So, I have been trying to "fear not". I will keep you updated. I will also keep you updated on our apartment search. There is not an apartment available where we are wanting, so we are just waiting on the Lord now.
Okay, let's try this again! I'm back again!
Okay, so I wasn't really back. We didn't have the Internet at our house, so I was going to Panera or the library or the Bean to get online and when I did, I just had so much to do or too little time. I couldn't blog at all! I guess I don't have a lot of people reading this (yet!) so I didn't have much to keep me on it. However, I want to be connected to my friends and family around the world, so I am going to try and keep this updated. How can I do this now, you may ask? We got a Sprint broadband card from my awesome father-in-law. He works at Sprint and got us an amazing deal!! Yea!!!
Okay, so we are still in KC. Seth is still at State Street. I am no longer at Panera. I teach a creative writing class to a small homeschool group (3) and work at an awesome coffee shop in Grandview, the Hard Bean. Everyone should stop by at least once in their life. It's addictive. You will not be able to stop coming. But it's ok. I see it all the time. Those kinds of people are ok.
In a new twist of events, my brother is here in KC, working at State Street and just moved to a downtown loft!!! He stayed with us for about a month, which really was a lot of fun. I didn't realize how much I missed hanging out with him.
We are still planning on moving downtown in March. Also in March, we are planning on going to Hawaii to visit two friends! Seth starts his master's program at Rockhurst Univ. in 2 weeks.
And, Molly is good, of course.
Okay, I have to go now, but I will be back soon!
